Team of the “Lesser Kestrel recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project was amongst the European Committee “NATURA 2000” Award Ceremony participants
05/25/2016
Just a few days ago a team of the “Lesser Kestrel recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project returned from Brussels, where it took part in the European Committee “NATURA 2000” Award Ceremony!

The Green Balkan’s project was one of the four distinguished Bulgarian projects, to compete for the valuable award in the different categories.

Sadly, for us, the award for the “Cross-Border Cooperation and Networking” was awarded to another project, but, nonetheless, the fulfillment to take part in such a prestigious format, as well as the possibility to represent Bulgaria, and its achievements before the European’s nature conservation elite, is of huge benefit. Proof for our great success is the diploma, signed personally by Mr. Karmenu Vella, European Commissioner of Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, that we received.

We are glad that this time, our Bulgarian colleagues and we, were the cause that the European Committee talk not of Bulgaria’s problems, but of its achievements.

We would like to congratulate our colleagues from the project “For the Balkans and the People”, which, by all merit, received the Socio-Economics Benefits Award.
