On December 1st, citizens sent a signal alarming about killed individuals of a protected bird species. A team of Green Balkans and the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Waters in Stara Zagora carried out an inspection on this case and visited the yard of “Holy Trinity” church.
According to the Regional Inspectorate of the Ministry of Environment and Waters – Plovdiv, on November 25th the amount of lead in Chepelarska River was 0.48mg/l which 9.6 times beyond the allowed amount (0.05mg/l).Towards the present moment is obvious that the pollution increases because even dead fish started to appear along the river bed

On Sunday, November 23rd, 2008, inspection against poaching and illegal trade in protected species was carried out in the area of the Russian market in the town of Plovdiv. Yesterday, 19 November, 2008, in the building of the Parliament started a national campaign for announcement of the results of a research for the extents of the swaps phenomenon and for the adoption of political and juridical measures for the return of the gifted to private persons and companies enormous territories of state land.
Afforestation action was carried out at the Wildlife Rescue Center on November 15th and 16th. The action involved 23 volunteers, as some of them came from Sofia, Gabrovo, and Plovdiv at their own expense.
