On May 27th, 2009 an interesting patient was received at the Rescue Center, namely – a juvenile Osprey (Pandion haliaetus). The bird was found by fishermen near Jrebchevo dam. The clinic is not good – the bird is underweight, and the X-ray revealed inflammation of the periostal tissue of the left shoulder joint and the left thigh muscles (perhaps due to a stab wound). The examination did not find any signs of bullet wounds.

The good news is that after two days at the intensive care unit the bird put on 100 grams and enjoys good appetite.
