Over 80 expertss from the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions exchanged ideas, discussed further goals and identified priority activities for future initiatives.

The event also provided invaluable opportunity to meet representatives of an important partner of the association in the activities for conservation of biodiversity in our Sea - the Swiss organization OceanCare.
The results from first edition of ACCOBAMS Partner Awards was presented at a specially organized gala dinner. We were honored to be presented with first prize. Second and third prize were awarded respectively to Capo Carbonara MPA, Sardinia, Italy and Mare Nostrum NGO, Romania.
We recall that in 2013, thanks to the dedicated work on research and conservation of cetaceans in the Black Sea, the association also became the first ACCOBAMS partner in Bulgaria.
