Griffon Vultures in the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park

04.07.2018
The Griffon Vultures situation in the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park at the beginning of July is as follows:

In the eastern parts of the NP we observed all three young birds in their nests.

The latest hatched bird is quite lively - photo 3. We hope it will continue growing as well as it has been so far and will develop nicely and will be able to take off successfully.

We observed two more newly formed Griffon Vulture pairs, landing on suitable breeding sites and trying to build nests.
We also observed the pairs with the young birds at the six inhabited nests in the northern parts of the Nature Park.

At present there is a group of about 50 Griffon Vultures in the area.
