The Public Debate for the “LESSER KESTREL (FALCO NAUMANNI FLEISCHER, 1818) IN BULGARIA FOR 2017-2027” Draft Was Held

23.12.2016
Yesterday in the Demonstration hall of the Lesser Kestrel Environmental Centre in Levka village, Svilengrad region, was held the public debate for the “LESSER KESTREL (FALCO NAUMANNI FLEISCHER, 1818) IN BULGARIA FOR 2017-2027” draft.

The event was part of the “Greater Chance for the Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni) in Bulgaria” – “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360, project, carried out by “Green Balkans – Stara Zagora” NGO, for the European Union’s LIFE+ Programme, and according to art. 11 of MoEW’s Instruction for the Conditions and Order for Development of Action Plans for Plant and Animal Species (made public in SG issue 73 from 19.08.2003).

Before the Lesser Kestrel experts, science organization, and state institutions’ representatives and NGOs, the “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project team detailed their views for the ways that the work for this species has to evolve in the near 10 years.

We were glad to answer the questions our guests had, and after we finished the formal part, everyone had the chance to take a look around the Lesser Kestrel Adaptation and Release Module, and to be introduced with the team’s methods and work.
