Six days after laying their first egg, the pair Egyptian vultures in the Green Balkans' Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre have a second one!

The joyful event was made known via the CCTV cameras mounted in the birds' aviary.

We're reminding that, in case of a successful breeding season, the hatchlings will be released in the wild as a part of Green Balkans' activities for the "Egyptian Vulture New LIFE" LIFE16 NAT/BG/000874 Project, in which the organisation is partnering.

The multiple copulations observed before the laying of the eggs, as the caring attitude of both birds towards them, brings hope to our team that this year, unlike the previous one, the pair will have their first hatchlings.

Now only time will tell.
