Not only do the Veterinary medicine students from the Ministry of Education and Science’s project “Student practices” work on the wild patients in the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Stara Zagora, but also, they have field days.
Several weekends in a row, the future veterinarians had the opportunity, not only to observe, but also, actively participate in the field activities in vaccinating and diparaziting sheep and horses, property Green Balkans, and the “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project.
The Wildlife Centres veterinarian team showed their sincere thanks to the young colleagues, for the help, persistence and the responsibility with which they participated in the prophylactic activities.
“We hope that after the end of the practices with us, the colleagues will accumulate knowledge, not only in dealing with wild animals, but also working with productive and farm animals, something that they will definitely use in their future professional realisation” said Rusko Petrov M.D. from Green Balkans, one of the mentors in the “Student practices” project.
