We follow the life of a white stork, a patient of the Rescue Centre!

26.10.2020
At the end of September, we parted with the last white storks raised at the Green Balkans Rescue Centre this summer!

Among them, our team selected one on which we placed a satellite transmitter to monitor the migration path of our former patient.

The data obtained from the one-month life in the wild of the young bird shows that just as we expected the bird has undertaken its journey to the south. During its journey, the young bird has passed through five countries - Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, and  Libya.

The latest data from the transmitter was sent on October 22 from Libya.

We hope that the bird will be alive and well and continue its way to its winter quarters, and in early spring, we will expect it again in its native land.

Until then, we will follow her life closely, thanks to the transmitter we installed.
