The “Natura 2000 in Bulgaria – New Horizons” Project archived great success and recognition by winning the European Commission's Naruta 2000 Award 2022

The Bulgarian information project "Natura 2000 in Bulgaria: new horizons", implemented by Green Balkans in partnership with Darik Radio, Dnevnik, Capital and Hobby TV, won the Natura 2000 Award in Communication category. This high-profile communication initiative, funded by the EU's LIFE programme, seeks to raise awareness of the Natura 2000 network in Bulgaria, using flagship species and habitats to inform about key aspects of Natura 2000.

Natura 2000 Day in Kavarna

In the previous week we had also visited Kavarna as part of our campaign for the 30th anniversary of Natura 2000. Our hosts were the students from "Yordan Yovkov" Primary School in the town of Kavarna.

16th WHITE STORK FESTIVAL
