Each year on 2nd February we are celebrating the World Wetlands Day to raise awareness on the high importance of wetlands for people and our planet. World Wetlands Day is also an occasion to commemorate the signing of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands in 1971.

On Sunday, at an official ceremony, the finalists in the five categories - TV, radio, print media, online publication and blog in the "WILD CHESTNUT" National competition for GREEN journalism were awarded with the special “Wild chestnut” plaque.
