The Griffon vultures in the Green Balkans’ Wildlife rehabilitation and breeding center started breeding in their turn. The breeding season of the Griffon vultures has just started and they made their first copulations.

The saker falcons at the Green Balkans Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Center in Stara Zagora have started the 2019 breeding season!

In the period 18-20 December, Green Balkans team has visited the region of Coastal Dobrogea in the framework of regular monitoring of wintering birds implemented by the society within “Long-term conservation of Red-breasted geese in their main wintering sites” project.

Yesterday we received a signal in our office from the Regional inspectorate of environment and water, submitted to them by a citizen from Kazanlak.

Due to an injury as a young chick, young bearded vulture Mia was left with a painful stump instead of a foot but thanks to pioneering surgery by a team of veterinary surgeons, she became the first bird in the world to have an artificial limb.
