The online training will present expertise about farming and livestock breeding in the territory of the Natura 2000 European network.
It is aimed at people working in agriculture for whom the regulations for business development in protected areas, good practices stimulated with subsidies for biodiversity conservation and the regulations for application of these good practices are very important.
Lidiya Chakrakchieva – head expert in the “Environment and climate” department at the “Rural development” directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, will present compensatory payments for measure 10 “Agri-environment and climate”, measure 12 “Natura 2000 and Water framework directive payments” and measure 14 “Аnimal welfare payments”, updated on 22 December 2020, regulations for grazing practices in protected areas, as well as expectations for finance during the forthcoming new programme period.
Chavdar Gusev – botanist at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences with research contributions in the use of natural plant resources for agricultural needs (grazing, mowing and others) and their conservation (protected areas, agri-environmental measures) will present the importance of applying measures for grazing and other good practices for economic activities in the Natura 2000 network territory.
Stoilko Apostolov – veterinarian and Bioselena Foundation director, working for the support of organic production and rural policy advocacy, will tell us about the development of the commercial advantages of food products produced with proved environmentally friendly techniques and in protected areas of the Natura 2000 network.
