At the beginning of the week, the first of a series of meetings with institutions was within the "Life for Lesser Kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project.

The topic of the meeting was "First Aid for Endangered Wildlife" with a focus on the Lesser Kestrel.
Within two days, representatives of regional inspectorates for environment and water, directorates of natural and national parks and environmentalists of municipalities across the country received valuable advice and practical instructions for working with endangered wildlife.

The event was divided into practical and theoretical parts. With a series of presentations, the Green Balkans team told the participants about the goals and activities of the project, the recognition of the Lesser Kestrel in nature, the distribution of the species in our country, methods of breeding and breeding in the Rescue Center, methods of releasing birds in nature, and the artificial types of platforms that we set up.

The practical part of the training took place in the outpatient clinic of the Green Balkans Rescue Center, where under the expert guidance of veterinarians, the participants had the opportunity to practice their skills in wild animals first aid. At the same time, the guests of the event visited the aviaries at the Center, home of the Lesser Kestrel and got acquainted with their life up close and the care that the Center's team provides for them every day.
Finally, all participants in the meeting received a first aid kit for endangered wildlife, as well as a handbook to it.
