Lecture with topic: “Vulture species” in “Slunchev luch” Private Elementary Eco-School, Plovdiv

With great pleasure the team of Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Center responded to the invitation of the “Slunchev luch” Private Elementary Eco School in Plovdiv and visited yesterday the sunny kids from the eco school who turned to be big vulture fans and who chose the subject of our lecture.

With huge interest they learned about the vulture species found on the territory of Bulgaria in the past, about those who got extinct decades ago, as well as the reasons why this happened.

Misho the Common Buzzard, Chara the Tawny Owl, Blaga the Little Owl and Vladko the Common Kestrel were introduced to the children in order getting them closely acquainted to wildlife nature, which is the main goal of school activities. All animals are Green Balkans' patients with long-term disabilities and can’t be returned to the wild. Their stories impressed the pupils and as we hope created desire taking care of wild animals.

Some of the teachers and most active during the lecture kids received certificates for participation in ecological and environment protection activities.

The Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Center team would like to thank all teachers from “Slunchev luch” Private Eco Elementary School in Plovdiv for their kind invitation and opportunity to meet their eager to learn pupils!
