The double clutching method used again with Griffon Vultures at the Rescue Centre

Laid two weeks ago, today the Griffon vulture's egg was taken from the nest and placed in the incubator of the Green Balkans Wildlife Rescue Center.

Following the method of double clutching, for another year we ensure the breeding success of the couple by stimulating them to lay two eggs. The egg will be artificially hatched until the end of the incubation period under conditions suitable for the species and will be under daily observation.

The birds are about to show breeding behaviour and repeated nesting attempts. In the previous season, the result of the method was two successfully bred Griffon vultures.
