Tiergarten Straubing – Germany Donates Wally - the Griffon Vulture to Bulgaria.

Yesterday Wally landed successfully on the territory of Bulgaria. The bird is donated by Tiergarten Straubing – Germany.

The German Zoo is part of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), which actively supports programs for recovery of rare species in the wild.

The bird will spend a quarantine period in the Wildlife Rescue Center, then it will be accommodated in an adaptation aviary in “Sinite kamani” Nature park.

We take this opportunity to thank Tiergarten Straubing and Stadt Straubing, who ensured besides the bird although its the transportation to Bulgaria. We are honored that the German public has trusted us and supports our activities.

Keep an eye on the fate of the birds on our website and keep your fingers crossed they successfully adapt to the  wildlife.
