Webinar – The Green Deal and the Bulgarian Business

We invite all interested people to register for participation in the organized webinar on topic – “The Green Deal and the Bulgarian Business”. The webinar will be held on 15 July 2021 at 11:00 h in Zoom.

The webinar is organized by “Economedia”, publisher of “Dnevnik” and “Capital” with the participation of four Bulgarian Members of the European Parliment from four different political groups. The representatives of business can ask questions about the impact of the new European policies on their sector in advance when signing up for the event as well as live in the chat.

The Bulgarian Members of the European Parliament, who will represent the Green Deal, are Andrey Novakov, Member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (GERB, Group of the European People's Party), Iskra Mihaylova, Member of the ITRE Committee of the European Parliament (The Movement for Rights and Freedoms, "Renew Europe" Group), Petar Vitanov, Member of the TRAN Committee and the ENVI Committee of the European Parliament(Bulgarian Socialist Party, Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats) and Radan Kanev, Member of the EMPL Committee and vice-chair of the ENVI Committee of the European Parliament (Democratic Bulgaria, Group of the European People's Party).

They will represent in front of the Bulgarian entrepreneurs the expected effects of the new European environmental policies and standards on different business sectors in Bulgaria, as they will represent the work on different Parliament Commissions and political visions on the topic.

The webinar is part of the “Natura 2000 – New Horizons” project https://greenbalkans.org/natura2000/newhorisons/en/, which aims to present up to date information about the protected species and habitats of European importance in Bulgaria. The project is realized with the financial support of the Life Programme of the European Union and is implemented by Green Balkans, Economedia, Darik Radio and Hobby TV.

Natura 2000
Natura 2000 is the largest coordinated network for nature conservation. More than 30% of the territory of Bulgaria falls within the scope of the network - 120 areas for the protection of wild birds and 234 areas for the protection of natural habitats.
