The exhibition “Natura 2000 in Bulgaria” is displayed in the Art Gallery – Svilengrad since Monday – 26 July

The exhibition presents 30 beautiful photos of habitats and species with a European conservation importance.

The event was opened with a presentation about the species for which Green Balkans is working for their conservation. Aside from the exhibition in the hall, it will also be shown on a TV there the movie “The lagoon of the white birds” – Pomorie Lake, “The chronicle of one dream come true” – a movie about the return of the vultures in Bulgaria, “Back Home” – a movie about the Lesser Kestrels, a video clip about Natura 2000 in Bulgaria.

The photos are taken by the photographer Emil Enchev, as well as by the Green Balkans photo archive. The idea of the exhibition is to promote in front of the wide public, the importance of the European ecological network NATURA 2000 in Bulgaria, as an important tool for preserving the most valuable nature places in our country as well as to attract the public support for their long-term conservation

The exhibition will stay at the Art Gallery until 3 August and it will be available to all who wishes to learn about the protected species and habitats and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Natura 2000
Natura 2000 is the largest coordinated network for nature conservation. More than 30% of the territory of Bulgaria falls within the scope of the network - 120 areas for the protection of wild birds and 234 areas for the protection of natural habitats.
